Hey there, friend!

Welcome to The Red Thread! My name is Alexis, and I am so glad you're here!

I started this business back in 2015 with a mission in mind, and that was to create a shopping experience for free-spirited women looking for ways to be comfortable  and express their true personalities through clothing. I've always had the bohemian vibe in my own wardrobe, and it reflects in our shop today. But we definitely take other styles into consideration when we pick out clothes just for you! Whether you're a 20 something navigating the roads of adulthood or a fashionable mama looking for functional pieces, we would love to be a part of your wardrobe!

I'm a wife to my husband, Ryan, mom to baby Crew, and a dog mom to Benny, the bernedoodle & Piper, the goldendoodle. We live in a small town where everybody knows everybody, and mom and pop shops fill the downtown streets, including ourselves! We love being able to serve our community and give back to the town that supports us.

When buying clothing for the shop, I love seeing the variety of materials and styles, incorporating new textures, new designs, and pieces that you can't find just anywhere. We also search for sustainable clothing that will last you wash after wash. Some of our brands use recycled materials and organic cottons to create wonderful pieces to complete your wardrobe. We care about how our products are made, where they are made, and the materials our products are made of. I love learning the stories behind our clothing vendors, how they came about, and the missions behind their own brands.

To me, clothing is more than just materials we wear. It's who we are and shows a little glimpse about our life and personality. We hope you find a bit of yourself in our shop, creating your own perfect outfit unique to you. If you need help, we would love to assist you in finding what you need.
